USB 1.0: In January 1998, USB 1.0 was the first version, but due to some issues, USB 1.1 came out very quickly. Which can run 1.5 Mbps on low bandwidth and 12 Mbps on full bandwidth.
USB 2.0: Next came April 2.0 USB 2.0 which was the fastest usb. It supports 480Mbps data transfer rate. USB 2.0 is a bit more popular because we have at least 2 USB 2.0 ports on our laptops or desktops.
USB 3.0: 2009 comes with USB 3.0 version which can transfer 5 gigabytes per second or even more data at times. It is basically designed for low power and advanced protocols. In 2013 USB 3.0 was upgraded to USB 3.1 which offers super speed USB. Because it can transfer data up to a maximum of 10 gigabytes. The latest is USB 3.2, which can transport up to 20 gigabytes of data per second.
